When The Empires Fall Away

“…And when the empires fall away, all that remains, is the memory of those precious moments…we stood side by side.” - from 2002 Four Feathers movie, ending scene

There is no stronger bond, between a husband and wife, a brother and sister, or even two strangers, than one that is forged within the fires of Adversity.

The bond is timeless.

Priceless.

And yet, we never desire it…for the Treasure it truly is.

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for Adversity” Proverbs 17:17

At 65, I’ve pursued several dreams of mine, “Empires” I call them, of how I imagined my life should play out. But not once, in my whole life, did I EVER pursue Adversity, Trials, and Perseverance. Though now looking back, it was during those times when the ones that walked through this fire with me, (my wife and children), forged my most priceless memories, and most precious moments.

So how do you tell someone, “It’s a blessing of God when He walks you through Adversity”?

Let them see it in your own life, as you walk with them through it…

…side by side.
