Thou Art With Me
Earlier this Spring, I had a dream where I was walking down the country road we live on. I had already walked past our house, and for some reason felt intrigued to continue, towards a very menacing approaching storm. I was walking directly into it. The air in front of me, coming from the storm, was warm, but the wind behind me, gently helping me walk along, was cool. I thought to myself, sensing these two opposing winds, “This can’t be good!”
But for some reason, I had a knowing, that whatever was going to happen, it was going to be ok. Storms come and go.
And I awoke.
That morning, sitting outside in the dark on our balcony thinking about the dream, there was a gentle breeze blowing through the woods, causing the branches to clang together like a wind chime. All the animals were silent. They either knew this breeze was bringing a storm, or it was the particular moment before dawn between the night sounds stopping and before the morning sounds starting.
I asked within my mind, “Is there a storm coming Lord, or is that gentle breeze in the woods Your Spirit, in the cool of the day?”
All I heard was, “Yes”.
Right then my heart quickened, and realized I had been told the meaning of the dream. Whatever approaching storm I may walk into…
…Thou Art With Me.
