Into The Heavens

“What’s in a word?”

Was the question I was confronted with this morning, as I wondered if I should continue writing blogs to you. Dad had asked me that same question nearly 45 years ago, when I was a frustrated 20 year old. Hearing his voice within me this morning only proves, once more, what he was trying to show me then, our words to each other are worth…..

….Everything.

“… I tell you, everyone will have to give account on the day of judgement for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words, you will be condemned.” Matt. 12:36,37

I have only two possessions that will live on into the heavens…my spirit…and my words.

When I imagine our words (the good and the bad) living forever, it’s a very sobering question…
