In The Cool of The Day

When the weather allows, I enjoy walking in the cool of the day, just before Dawn. It has become a treasured part of my morning. Something amazing happens about 30 minutes before dawn. Nature pauses. When the night sounds (of crickets, bullfrogs, coyotes, and owls), stop. And before the morning sounds (of birds, roosters, cows, wild turkeys, or even my dogs) begin….there’s a few minutes of Silence!

As if Creation is Honoring God

I sometimes wonder if this moment of silence started back when Nature witnessed the sad event of Adam and Eve being deceived by the serpent. And then had to watch God walk through the garden in the cool of the day as Adam and Eve hid from Him, because they believed the lie that put doubt in their hearts, “Did God Really Say?”

Though this spirit was defeated at Calvary, I feel a daily remembrance is still offered to God in this short gift of silence of Nature in view of ALL mankind every morning before Dawn, proclaiming “….His Mercies are new every morning.” Lamentations 3:22,23)

In these early mornings, I sense a presence within this brief Sound of Silence, saying,

“Wait, be still! He’s here again! He’s looking for someone to talk with. Listen carefully for His Whisperings and walk with Him…

…In The Cool of The Day.”
