You Crossed My Mind

“You’re never alone as you walk through life…Life walks with you.” -from “Men, Like Trees”

“Oh Lord, You have searched me, and You know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You understand my thoughts from afar. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.” Psalm 139:1-3

“You crossed my mind, so I thought I’d call and say hi.” My daughter (who lived in another state) said as I answered.

I had been mowing the lawn that evening, thinking about my past, and letting voices of bitterness take hold of my thoughts, as she called “out of the blue”.

“I just wanted to say thank you for being a good father to me, and I’m grateful you’re in my life.”

Her call lasted only a minute, but those words she spoke, (that now are over 12 years old), silenced all my tormenting voices…to this very day!

All because of a moment…. “I crossed her mind.”

This morning, as I write this letter to you, I am reminded of Psalm 139, and His Voice reminding you and I…

“With every new morning, My thoughts find you, and walk with you.”

He walks with us.

And He makes others cross our minds…in Hope that we would allow Him to use our voice…to join with Him, in loving others.
