You Crossed My Mind

“You’re never alone as you walk through life…Life walks with you.” -from “Men, Like Trees”

“Oh Lord, You have searched me, and You know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You understand my thoughts from afar. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.” Psalm 139:1-3

“You crossed my mind, so I thought I’d call and say hi.” My daughter (who lived in another state) said as I answered the phone.

I had been mowing the lawn that evening, while tormenting over my past failures, and letting voices of bitterness take control of my thoughts.

“I just wanted to say thank you for being a father to me, and I’m grateful you’re in my life.” Her call lasted only a minute, but her words silenced those tormenting voices over 12 years ago…unto this day.

All because “I crossed her mind”.

And this morning as I write this letter to you, Psalm 139 crosses my mind and His Voice is reminding me once again…

…”With every new morning, My thoughts find you, and walk with you.”

We’re never alone as we walk through life…. He walks with us.
