The Giver of My Day

“Lord, keep it EVER at the front of my thoughts, the Mercy and Forgiveness that others have given to me, so that I EVER remember…to give it back to all.”

“Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.” Proverbs 16:3

For me at least, it’s so easy to forget all the others that have shown Mercy and Forgiveness during my life…when I’m in a place of current Peace. It can become like a trap, as comfort eases over me like a warm blanket, and my gratefulness is lulled to sleep.

I’ve come to learn of myself, I am most deceived when I am in my most comfortable place. So it has become a safeguard, to approach The Giver of My Day, with a prayer that He keeps certain thoughts EVER before me…

…The faces of the others He brought into my past, who gave me Mercy and Forgiveness, that brought me to the place I am this morning.
